From Binghamton NY, Chef Jay started cooking at a young age preparing meals for his family. He soon found that he had a true passion for the culinary arts. After serving his country in the U.S. Army as an infantryman, Jay began his quest to hone his craft with a fearless tenacity. His only desire was to make people happy with his food. He has worked in various restaurant settings ranging from short order to fine dining learning a wide range of skills with each experience. After years of paying his dues, he became Executive Chef of a fine dining steakhouse in Memphis, TN. It was there that he finally put that fearless, outside-the-box mentality to use. He hosted numerous beer and wine dinners as well as many private functions. He attributes his success to his beautiful family. His wife, Melinda and two sons Wes and Daniel, have always been his most honest critics and fiercest supporters. He also attributes much of his culinary experience to Chef Michael Patrick, of Memphis and Chef Andrew Ostacoli, of Hampstead.  Jay loves to meet new faces and warmly greet returning ones. Whether it’s your first time, or your tenth, Chef Jay will always stop to talk to you and make sure your experience is a great one.
